Info & Description (from the original label info):
The abandoned railway section Castellaneta - Gioia del Colle in Puglia represents one of those places that meet the definition of 'undecided spaces', heterogeneous and dispersed realities which, precisely because of their nature of uncontrolled spaces, constitute a refuge for diversity, a product of the rational organization of the territory. A 'subnature' that lies between the natural world and the artificiality of industrial and urbanization processes. A six-hour walk in which Polisonum traveled an abandoned railway section, extending the vegetal dynamism of the Third Landscape theorized by Gilles Clément to the field of sound. An audio-video survey without interruptions, a sensitive accumulation of data on space, a continuous flow of heterogeneous stimuli.
Presented at ArtVerona - Verona Contemporary Art Fair, 2017, "778FS" is an audiovisual work in which the memory of the journey is transformed into a random succession of connections between image and sound, revealing the fragmentation and indeterminacy of the places crossed.
This release comprises a selection of about 20 minutes taken from that “six-hour walk”. Same tracks on both sides (total: 40 min.). Edition of 125 copies, of which 100 for sale.

Polisonum is an artistic research collective that uses sound as a method and investigation device to explore the metamorphosis in the places of history and contemporaneity, in landscapes and geographies. Polisonum stands out for its research aimed at listening and interpreting the places in which it operates, natural or anthropic, through installations that translate into the restitution of sound traces, identifying of a distant time or hardly perceptible in the space in which they live today. The collective, made up of figures that intersect different disciplines - such as visual arts, sound engineering and technology - places the relationship with space and the sound flows that animate it at the center of its practice, the starting point for every research and the creation of works that become sound portraits, containers of stories, transformations, evolutions. The installations are conceived as open works, offering themselves to the interaction of the public and to a participatory dimension, characters that become an integral and necessary part of each project.
